Jennifer Lopez Shares Rare Pic With Ex Marc Anthony and Their Daughter
Celebrity splits are known to get acrimonious, but one famous former couple just came together for the best cause of all: to support their kid. On her Instagram Story on Friday, Jennifer Lopez shared a rare photo of Marc Anthony and their daughter, Emme Muñiz, all having a video chat.
Anthony and Lopez share two children, 13-year-old twins Emme and Max Muñiz. The couple was married for 10 years, from 2004 to 2014. But even though they've moved on to other relationships—Lopez is now engaged to former professional baseball player Alex Rodriguez, while Anthony divorced his third wife, Shannon de Lima, in 2017—they are still close, especially when it comes to being there for their kids. Lopez's Instagram Story post from Mar. 12 shows Emme leaning on her dad's shoulder and holding his hand. Lopez can be seen in the corner of the screenshot, video chatting them and looking on with a smile.
She didn't say why Emme was upset, but she captioned the photo: "When they are sad but momma and daddy are there … I love you!! So proud of you…"
Later that same day, Page Six broke the news that Lopez and Rodriguez had ended their relationship. Neither party has yet to confirm the report, but it could explain Emme's state in the photo.

For Father's Day in 2020, Lopez posted a series of photos of Anthony with the kids. "Happy Father's Day flaco!!" she wrote in the caption. "Wishing you the best day today."
Anthony shared a photo of himself and Lopez with Emme in Dec. 2019, and wrote, "Nothing but love between us." According to Good Morning America, the family was attending a recital at Emme's school, and Lopez reposted the photo to her own Instagram Story.

During a 2017 appearance on Live With Kelly, Lopez shared that she was working with Anthony following their divorce. And while she was worried about adding in a professional element to their relationship, it turned out well for them. "He's helping me make my Spanish album," she said. "It's been awesome." (It seems the album hasn't yet come to fruition, seeing as Lopez hasn't put out a full album since 2014, but she has released a number of songs.)
The mom of two continued, "We're just in a really great place. And the kids, they get to spend time with the two of us more together and see us working together. It's good for them. It's good for use. It's just good for the whole family." She added, "We're always going to be great friends. I'm always going to be there for him. He's always going to be there for me."

In her post of Emme and Anthony, Lopez also wrote "#Coconuts," which is her nickname for her twins.
During a 2012 appearance on The Tonight Show, she explained the name: "That comes from when they were little and in their cribs and they started growing hair, and it looked just like a coconut—to me. Every time I saw them, I was like, 'Oh, my little coconut! Come here!' It just stuck." She said that she even has a necklace with two coconuts on it and their initials.
