Days of Our Lives Recap: Tuesday, October 24 – Ava’s Manager Job Fools Tripp – Gil’s Fierce Threats – Harris Suspicious

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 24, reveals that Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) called Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) back after getting her text and wondered what was up. Ava insisted it was fine and suggested she just wanted to wish Harris a good first day at the Salem PD.

Harris was grateful and assured Ava that she’d find a job soon, too.

Once Harris disconnected, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) appeared and expressed surprise over Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) hiring him so quickly.

Kate also offered a warning about Ava since she didn’t trust her due to her shady past.

Harris insisted he was just friends with Ava, but he still defended her since he believed she’d ditched her life of crime.

Back with Ava on Tuesday’s Days episode, she got a visit from Gil Carter (David S. Lee), who suggested he was there to see how her son was doing.

Ava assumed Gil was the lowlife who attacked Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams), but Gil explained that he was more like middle management – though he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty if need be.

Gil assured Ava that if she stayed in line, everything would be fine. If Ava didn’t run Clyde Weston’s (James Read) drug business like she was told, then Clyde had plenty of people who’d put Tripp in the ground.

In Tripp and Wendy Shin’s (Victoria Grace) bedroom, she gave him a massage before they fell back on the bed for lovemaking.

Soon after, Tripp interrupted Ava’s tense conversation with Gil and overheard him mention that she might need more convincing.

Gil stopped short of reaching for the knife that Ava had been using to chop vegetables.

Instead, Gil put on a nice act with Tripp and insisted he was offering Ava the manager position at The Bistro, where he was the new owner.

Tripp didn’t understand why Ava was resisting since it seemed like a great fit, so she finally caved in.

After Tripp expressed excitement and hugged Ava over the news, Gil told Ava they should go discuss the details.

That left Tripp home alone with Wendy, so he gave her updates on Ava’s new manager job.

Wendy hinted that she might have a job offer in the works too, but she didn’t want to jinx it by revealing more.

At the Salem PD, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) took Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) statement and admitted they didn’t have any leads yet on Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).

Kayla also inquired about the drug addict who went after Tripp at the hospital, but Rafe doubted the case would ever be solved.

Afterward, Kayla crossed paths with Kate briefly and later spoke to Tripp at work. Tripp wished he knew what set the guy off in the exam room, but Kayla didn’t think it was anything Tripp did wrong.

Talk also turned to Ava’s new position, but Kayla remained uneasy about her fresh start and wanted Tripp to be cautious about getting close to his mother.

Tripp understood that, but he also defended Ava’s attempt to turn things around and felt this job was an important first step.

Once Harris made it to the police station on Tuesday’s DOOL show, he shook hands with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) since she was his new partner.

Rafe put Harris and Jada to work finding Dimitri and Leo, so they decided to start at the beginning and search Leo’s suite again.

Jada hoped that maybe Harris could offer fresh eyes and spot a clue that they might’ve missed before.

Back with Rafe, he was impressed when Wendy fixed his frozen laptop and ran down the list of all the upgrades he needed. Rafe hired Wendy on the spot as his new head of IT.

In the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, Ava complained to Gil about the restaurant being a drug front and offered to use her old mob connections to find her own replacement.

Although Ava tried to butter Gil up and act like he was smarter than Clyde, her plan failed miserably. Gil made it clear that Ava shouldn’t try to go against the boss again and insisted this was the only way to ensure Tripp’s safety.

There was a tense vibe as Harris and Jada appeared, so Harris noticed Ava looked upset and wondered if everything was OK.

In Dimitri and Leo’s motel room on the outskirts of town, Leo had a horrible dream about Rafe and Jada barging in on them with their weapons drawn.

Dimitri calmed Leo down after he woke up startled and strategized with him about their next move.

It was best to leave the country and get somewhere with no extradition, but Leo pointed out they’d need help for that. Dimitri wanted to rely on Megan DiMera (Miranda Hathaway), but Leo feared she’d draw attention – not to mention she’d be tough to find.

Leo and Dimitri also had money problems on Tuesday’s Days episode since they barely had any cash between them.

Fortunately, Leo had some petty cash stashed away in his old suite at the Salem Inn. It was just a matter of getting to it without being spotted.

Leo came up with the idea to dress as ghosts since the Horton Town Scare was going on, so he put on a white sheet with eye holes – and Dimitri did the same.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Leo and Dimitri are about to create a scary situation for themselves, so stay tuned!
