A few hours before boxer Saul Canelo Alvarez faces Russian Dmitry Bivol, both fighters are ready to step into the ring, but some specialists of this sport do not stop praising the qualities of the Mexican, even comparing him with the legend Mike Tyson.

Trainer Jose "Chepo" Reynoso has wanted to highlight Canelo's physique and to do so he has compared him to Iron Mike in a forceful way.

"Canelo has worked a lot on his physique, he looks very strong like a true 175-pounder...he reminds me of Mike Tyson, but in white," Reynoso told YouTube channel, KO Boxing Sports.

"Tyson was like that, a little short for the weight, but he was very strong and throwing a lot of punches, Saul has a very wide neck as well and I'm optimistic he'll come out with his arm up. He thinks and knows how to handle fights," the trainer added.

Canelo Alvarez wants to have Tyson's punching power

Alvarez said he has always wanted to have the power of Mike Tyson, and feel what it's like to hit his opponents the way Iron Mike did.

The Mexican fighter and middleweight champion has shown he has the power to take his opponents down. Still, after knocking down a good number of foes and even causing serious fractures in some of them, Canelo would like to have Tyson's punch at least one day.

"Tyson had a brutal punch. Even grazing you would knock you out," Alvarez told DAZN.
